Robert Jones Expected to Miss 2-3 Months
Dallas Cowboys offensive guard Robert Jones (neck) who had been working with the starting offense early in training camp, is expected to miss two to three months after breaking a bone in his neck during practice on Sunday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's a tough break for the 26-year-old heading into his first season with the Cowboys. Jones spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins and started all 17 regular-season games for the Fish in 2024 at left guard. He signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in the offseason that can earn him up to $4.75 million. Before getting injured, Jones was getting a serious chance at earning the starting duties at right guard to help replace Zack Martin, who retired this offseason.
