Ravens Acquire Tre'Davious White From Rams

The Baltimore Ravens acquired two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Tre'Davious White from the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday. It's unclear what the Rams received in return for White, who agent Kevin Conner worked closely with the Rams to find the right landing spot for his client. White hasn't played for the Rams since Week 4 as the team and his agent have been looking to trade him. The 29-year-old former first-team All-Pro selection in 2019 when he was with the Buffalo Bills has lost a step or two at this point in his career and totaled 12 tackles (nine solo) and two pass breakups in his four starts for LA earlier this year in his first and only year with the team. The veteran defensive back will now join a Ravens secondary that was really struggling before bouncing back in their Week 9 blowout win over the visiting Denver Broncos. UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Rams sent White and a seventh-round pick in 2027 to Baltimore for a seventh-rounder in 2026.

Tre'Davious White On The Move?

The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly open to trading cornerback Tre'Davious White, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The former All-Pro has not appeared in the team's last two games after defensive back Darious Williams returned from his hamstring injury. LA would also be okay with keeping White, as they know "things can change over a long season," but a move to a team with a cornerback need is not out of the question. The 29-year-old has recorded 12 tackles and defended two passes in his four appearances this season. For now, it appears he could continue to be a healthy scratch until his services are required.

Tre'Davious White Making Good Progress

Los Angeles Rams new cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) signed a one-year deal with the Rams on April 9 after being released by the Buffalo Bills. White continues to rehab this offseason after tearing his Achilles in Week 4 of last year. He was working off to the side with trainers for the majority of organized team activities before participating in the walkthrough in the final week. It remains to be seen how much White will be able to do in training camp this summer. "He's making good progress. He was able to partake in the walkthrough. It's obviously a significant injury that he's overcome. He's gotten a lot of good stuff done on the side. You could see he's really locked in and engaged in the meeting setting," head coach Sean McVay said. White's 18 career interceptions are tied for 11th-most among active cornerbacks, per Pro Football Reference.

Tre'Davious White To Join Rams

The Los Angeles Rams and free-agent cornerback Tre'Davious White intend to agree upon a one-year, $8.5 million contract, according to White's agents. White will join a revamped LA secondary that recently added Darious Williams. The veteran cornerback has struggled to stay on the field in recent seasons, having appeared in just 10 total games over the past two years. White's contract with the Rams has the potential to be worth up to $10 million with incentives as he looks to bolster the Los Angeles defense.

Tre'Davious White Also Visiting Titans, Giants

Veteran free-agent cornerback Tre'Davious White is set to visit with the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It was previously reported that White was visiting with the Los Angeles Rams and Las Vegas Raiders this week, so there are several teams in the mix for the former All-Pro. White was recently released by the Buffalo Bills after seven seasons with the organization, mostly due to cap space and injury concerns. The 29-year-old has played in just ten games over the last two years, racking up two interceptions and eight passes defended. Nonetheless, teams in desperate need of help in the backend are likely interested in bringing him in on a cheap one-year deal to see if he can turn his career around.

Tre'Davious White To Visit With Rams, Raiders

Former Buffalo Bills All-Pro and Pro Bowl cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) has visits scheduled with the Los Angeles Rams and Las Vegas Raiders this week, with a few other teams showing interest in him as well, according to sources. White was cut by the Bills earlier this month and is also working his way back from a torn right Achilles suffered last October. The 29-year-old former 27th overall pick by Buffalo in 2017 out of LSU will surely latch on with another team this offseason, but it remains to be seen how effective he'll be moving forward after his devastating Achilles injury in 2023. It's unlikely that White is going to return to being one of the best cover cornerbacks in the league as he approaches 30 years old, but if he's past his Achilles injury, he can still provide veteran leadership to a team in need of secondary help.

Tre'Davious White Being Released By Bills

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) is being released after seven years with the organization. White was named to two Pro Bowl rosters and two All-Pro teams during his time in Buffalo, but injuries have caused him to miss significant times over the last three seasons. In 2023, he suffered a torn Achilles that limited him to just four games. He has played in just 21 of 51 possible regular-season games since 2021, totaling 14 passes defended and three interceptions. The 29-year-old former first-round pick was once considered an elite player at his position, and he'll try to revive his career with a new team. The Bills will designate him as a post-June 1 cut, which will save them $10.2 million in cap space.

Tre'Davious White A Cut Candidate

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) is now 29 and is coming off two major injuries in the last three seasons -- a torn ACL in 2021 and a torn Achilles in 2023. If the Bills were to cut him this offseason, they would clear just over $6 million in salary cap space, but the situation could go either way and is more complex than just saving cap room for the 2024 season. White is highly valued by the organization, and the Bills want him to get healthy before they make a decision on his future. However, they could run out of time for him to do so before his $1.5 million roster bonus is due just a few days into the new league year in March, which would take away 25 percent of their potential savings. The All-Pro corner tore his right Achilles in Week 4 against Miami and may not even be the same player upon his return.

Tre'Davious White Done For The Year

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) suffered a torn right Achilles in the team's Week 4 win over the division-rival Miami Dolphins on Sunday and will now miss the rest of the season, according to head coach Sean McDermott. An MRI exam on Monday confirmed what the team feared on Sunday night. White suffered the injury on a non-contact play on Sunday and had to be carted to the locker room. The 28-year-old has had a tough go of it as far as injuries in recent years, as he also suffered a torn right ACL in 2021. The loss of the 28-year-old is a big blow to Buffalo's secondary the rest of the way. Christian Benford and Dane Jackson will serve as the boundary corners moving forward with White on the shelf.

Tre'Davious White Feared To Have Suffered A Torn Achilles

The Buffalo Bills fear cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) suffered a torn right Achilles in the team's Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins. White crumbled to the ground with a non-contact injury late in the third quarter. If the injury is confirmed, his season will be over. The former All-Pro corner also suffered a torn ACL in his left leg in 2021 and worked his way back late last season. The injury would be a big blow to a Bills defense that is allowing the second-fewest points per game to opposing offenses.
