Trent Sherfield Fantasy

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Trent Sherfield posted an impressive 22-yard, highlight-reel touchdown reception in the second half of Thursday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He ended up posting a team-high four grabs on the evening, while also delivering a bone-jarring hit on special teams. He has a ton of competition for a spot on the 53-man roster, as the team drafted three wideouts behind veteran Larry Fitzgerald and former high-round pick Christian Kirk. However, Sherfield showed his value both in the pass game and on special teams, which is how he won a job last preseason. While he took a big step toward securing a job for the 2019 season, his fantasy appeal remains rather minimal at this time.

Arizona Cardinals wide receivers Chad Williams and Trent Sherfield are hopeful that a season of learning in 2018 will help them as they look to impress head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the new coaching staff. The two receivers have an uphill climb just to win a roster spot, as the team has Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk, Hakeem Butler and Andy Isabella as the top four wideouts, with Damiere Byrd, Keesean Johnson and Kevin White also battling for a spot. The Cardinals will likely have several wideouts cut after the preseason, landing spots with other organizations.
