Mitchell Marner Establishes Vegas Record Sunday

Vegas Golden Knights right wing Mitchell Marner notched a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild, becoming the fastest player to 20 points in franchise history. Marner boasts four goals and 16 assists through his first 18 outings with the team. He already has eight multi-point efforts and hasn't yet gone more than two games in a row without getting on the score sheet. Marner's move to Vegas has clearly worked out well for him. He is currently on track to reach the 90-point plateau for the fifth time in his career.

Mats Zuccarello Logs Two Assists in Overtime Victory

Minnesota Wild right wing Mats Zuccarello set up two goals, including the game-winner, in Sunday's 3-2 overtime victory against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Norwegian veteran picked up his first assist on a Joel Eriksson Ek goal less than five minutes into the game and helped Kirill Kaprizov get a power-play goal with only 10 seconds left in overtime. After missing the first four weeks of action because of injury, Zuccarello hasn't needed much time to pick up form, logging four assists across five appearances. He is averaging 18:45 of ice time on Minnesota's first line. Zuccarello is an 11.2 percent career shooter, so the goals should also start to come for him eventually.

Lucas Raymond Leads Red Wings to Victory at MSG

Detroit Red Wings right wing Lucas Raymond was the main man in Sunday's Original Six matchup against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden, logging a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win. Raymond combined with Patrick Kane to set up Alex DeBrincat for a power-play goal in the season period and went on to pot the game-winning goal with less than four minutes remaining in regulation. Raymond is part of Detroit's highly productive first line, having notched 20 points (five goals, 15 assists) in 17 appearances. The last Red Wings player aged 23 or younger to require fewer games to hit 20 points in a season was Hall of Famer Sergei Fedorov in 1993-94. Seven of Raymond's points have come during his current four-game scoring streak.

Quinn Hughes Delivers Four Assists in Sunday's Win

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes finished Sunday's 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning with four assists. Hughes' playmaking helped Vancouver come back from a 2-0 deficit. With his third career four-assist game, Hughes tied Reed Larson for the fifth-most by an American defenseman. In his previous outing, the Canucks captain sent out three assists, so he has had a really good eye for a pass lately. Hughes has 16 assists in total to his name this season, putting him tied for 10th in the league. He has also tallied one goal through 15 appearances.

Conor Garland Limited to Handful of Minutes Sunday

Vancouver Canucks right wing Conor Garland (undisclosed) suffered a fresh injury blow in Sunday's victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. He logged only 4:21 of ice time, exiting the action with an undisclosed injury after seven shifts. A couple of weeks back, Garland sat out three games with another undisclosed injury. When healthy, he has been one of Vancouver's best players, registering five goals and 13 points in 17 contests. Newly signed David Kampf might get an opportunity to play if Garland misses time, while Arshdeep Bains is another option. The Canucks will complete a back-to-back on Monday against the Florida Panthers.

Ryan Hartman Suffers Lower-Body Injury

Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman (lower body) left Sunday's 3-2 overtime victory against the Vegas Golden Knights in the third period. He suffered a lower-body injury, exiting after logging 12:30 of ice time. Hartman, who has recently centered the first line, recorded one shot and two hits in the game. With Marco Rossi (lower body) still out, the Wild may have to tweak the top six again if Hartman can't play on Wednesday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Hartman has managed seven points (four goals, three assists) in 20 outings this season.

Adrian Kempe Agrees to $85 Million Extension With Kings

Los Angeles Kings right wing Adrian Kempe has agreed to an eight-year, $85 million contract extension. The contract will run through the 2032-33 season, raising Kempe's cap hit from $5.5 million to $10.625 million. Kempe has been among L.A.'s most consistent offensive players for several seasons and leads the team in scoring this campaign. After 19 games, Kempe boasts six goals and 19 points. He also has additional fantasy value through his physicality, having registered 37 hits. The Swedish native just turned 29, so he remains in the prime of his career and will continue to make a mark in fantasy hockey for many years.

Scott Mayfield  • D  •  Islanders

Scott Mayfield Available Sunday

New York Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield (personal) will rejoin the lineup on Sunday against the Colorado Avalanche. He has sat out two games following the birth of his first child. In the Islanders' defense, Mayfield eats up nearly 19 minutes of ice time per game and mainly does the dirty work. He has registered three assists, 15 shots, 24 blocks, and 11 hits in 16 outings this campaign. The Islanders reassigned Travis Mitchell to the minors to make room for Mayfield on the roster. His return will bump Adam Boqvist out of the lineup.

Samuel Honzek  • LW  •  Flames

Samuel Honzek Out Week-to-Week

Calgary Flames left wing Samuel Honzek (upper body) has been listed as week-to-week. He was hurt in a collision with teammate Mikael Backlund on Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets. In 18 outings, Honzek has recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and 35 hits. His exit from the lineup will likely give a chance to return for Yegor Sharangovich, who has missed a pair of contests as a healthy scratch. While Sharangovich was a 30-goal scorer a couple of years back and flirted with a 60-point campaign, he has been largely ineffective since the start of last season. In 2025-26, Sharangovich has been limited to four points (two goals, two assists) in 16 games.

Kirby Dach  • C  •  Canadiens

Kirby Dach Sidelined for 4-6 Weeks

Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach (foot) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks of action. Dach fractured his right foot while blocking a shot in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. The 24-year-old recently had a three-game goal streak, but overall, the 2025-26 campaign has not been too kind for him. In 15 outings, Dach has managed only seven points (five goals, two assists). The Canadiens have just lost Alex Newhook (ankle) for several months, and Patrik Laine (core muscle) remains available, leaving the team short of proven offensive options. Due to the injuries, Zachary Bolduc could land a regular top-six job, with Ivan Demidov also seeing more ice time.

Thatcher Demko Considered Week-to-Week

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko (lower body) is considered week-to-week. After he suffered a lower-body injury, Demko landed on Injured Reserve on Friday and will miss a second consecutive contest on Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. Unfortunately, Demko can't seem to avoid injuries and has played in only 10 games this season, posting a 5-4-0 record. He has a 2.80 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage. Kevin Lankinen, who carries a 3-5-2 record, will have a heavy workload during the upcoming weeks, with Jiri Patera suiting up as the backup.

Filip Hronek  • D  •  Canucks

Filip Hronek Good to Go Sunday

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek (concussion) will play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. The Czech rearguard was pulled by a concussion spotter on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes, but he has been cleared to play against the Lightning. This season, Hronek has skated in all 19 games, producing nine assists. He hasn't yet found the back of the net despite sending 21 attempts on goal. In Sunday's game, Hronek will hope to avoid his second three-game pointless streak of the season.

Quinn Hughes Back in Action Sunday

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes (upper body) will return to the lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. Hughes missed Friday's matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes due to an upper-body injury. The Canucks captain had three assists in his last outing and has logged at least one helper in each of his previous four appearances. In total, Hughes has posted a team-high 12 assists, adding one goal in 14 contests. On Sunday, we should see Hughes take on his normal workload on the first defensive pairing and the top power-play unit.

Viktor Arvidsson Injured in Saturday's Win

Boston Bruins winger Viktor Arvidsson (lower body) couldn't fully enjoy Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens due to injury. He sustained a lower-body injury late in the game, with Bruins head coach Marco Strum saying that Arvidsson will miss "some time." Arvidsson scored Boston's game-winner on the power play Saturday night and has had a good offensive spell lately. Across seven appearances this month, Arvidsson has notched four goals and one assist. The Swedish veteran boasts 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 20 games for the season. With Casey Mittelstadt (lower body) and John Beecher (upper body) already battling injuries, the Bruins attack could be quite thin in Monday's matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Nick Foligno Ruled Out for Four Weeks

Chicago Blackhawks forward Nick Foligno (hand) is set to miss four weeks after being injured in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Blackhawks captain left the game after blocking a shot with his hand late in the second period. This season, Foligno has recorded six assists but has yet to score a goal, having registered 16 shots on net. He also sits second on his team with 41 hits. The injury bug has hit the Blackhawks hard lately, as the team's frontline was already without Tyler Bertuzzi (undisclosed) and Jason Dickinson (shoulder) for Saturday's game.

Samuel Honzek Hurt in Collision With Teammate

Calgary Flames left wing Samuel Honzek (upper body) was forced to exit Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets in the second period. The Jets scored their first goal in bizarre circumstances, as Mark Scheifele took advantage of Honzek's collision with his teammate Mikael Backlund. Honzek had two hits in 7:05 of ice time before his exit. Backlund remained in the game. After 18 appearances, Honzek boasts four points (two goals, two assists) and 35 hits for his rookie campaign. He has been skating on the third line with Backlund and Blake Coleman. Yegor Sharangovich has been a healthy scratch for a couple of games, but may now receive a new opportunity to play because of Honzek's injury.

Drew Doughty Exits With Lower-Body Injury

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty (lower body) exited Saturday's 1-0 win over the Ottawa Senators midway through the second period. The veteran rearguard sustained a lower-body injury while blocking a shot. After the game, Doughty was seen leaving the arena wearing a walking boot. Across 19 outings, Doughty has contributed two goals and six assists, while logging 24 shots and 30 blocks. His exit from the lineup would allow Jacob Moverare to play, while a different setup must be used for the second power-play unit. The Kings return to action Monday night on the road against the Washington Capitals.

Charlie McAvoy Sustains Upper-Body Injury Against Canadiens

Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy (upper body) had to exit Saturday's contest against the Montreal Canadiens after being struck by a puck. He took a slapshot to the face during a Canadiens power play in the second period. McAvoy recently missed his first game of the season for personal reasons, and unfortunately, he may have to sit out some action again. In 19 appearances, McAvoy has logged 14 assists, 25 shots, 32 blocks, and 26 hits. If McAvoy misses Monday's matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes, Henri Jokiharju will likely get an opportunity to play. Meanwhile, Mason Lohrei could receive additional power-play usage.

Thomas Harley  • D  •  Stars

Thomas Harley Out Week-to-Week

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (lower body) will be out week-to-week. He missed his first game of the season on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers and will spend some more time on the sidelines due to a lower-body injury. "He was dealing with it. He played three or four games with it," Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan said on Saturday. "It becomes a point right now where you don't want to make the injury worse. It's the smartest decision for the athlete just to take that time now and get it dealt with." Harley is a big piece of the Stars' blue line, averaging nearly 23 minutes of ice time. He has recorded 10 points (one goal, nine assists), 21 shots, and 43 blocks in 18 games. Kyle Capobianco replaced Harley in the lineup on Saturday.

Jeff Skinner  • LW  •  Sharks

Jeff Skinner Placed on Injured Reserve

San Jose Sharks left wing Jeff Skinner (lower body) landed on Injured Reserve ahead of Saturday's tilt against the Seattle Kraken. In a corresponding move, the Sharks recalled Zack Ostapchuk from the minors. Ostapchuk will replace Skinner in the lineup on Saturday and is likely to see more playing opportunities going forward, as Skinner will have to miss at least three games. The veteran was hurt during Thursday's loss to the Calgary Flames. Skinner's performance has fluctuated throughout the season, resulting in seven points (four goals, three assists) in 17 appearances. Ostapchuk will join the fourth line, so he is not a player that fantasy managers should be interested in.
