Mark Scheifele Establishes New Franchise Record With 101 Points

Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele set a franchise single-season record with 101 points during a 6-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday. Winnipeg was outclassed for much of the night, but Scheifele popped up with a goal and a power-play assist in the third period. Winnipeg's scoring record had stood since the franchise was still in Atlanta and Marian Hossa had 100 points in 2006-07. Scheifele has had a fantastic late-season stretch to surpass the record with two games remaining. His efforts across the last 10 games have resulted in 18 points (four goals, 14 assists). Overall, he had tallied 35 goals and 66 assists in 80 contests.

Quinton Byfield Scores Twice in Playoff Clincher

Los Angeles Kings forward Quinton Byfield scored two goals as the team clinched a playoff spot with a 5-3 road victory over the Seattle Kraken on Monday night. Byfield's work helped the Kings get off to a strong start, with the 23-year-old potting two unassisted goals in the first period. Byfield has blown hot and cold late in the season. He boasts five multi-point efforts in his last 11 appearances but hasn't picked up any points in the other six games. With two regular-season contests remaining, Byfield is four short of his third consecutive 50-point campaign. He has contributed 22 goals and 24 assists in 77 appearances.

Porter Martone Extends Point Streak to Five Games

Philadelphia Flyers right wing Porter Martone continued his dream start in the NHL with an assist in Monday's playoff-clinching 3-2 shootout victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. He collected a power-play helper midway through the second period as Trevor Zegras made it 2-2. Martone became the fifth teenager in Flyers history to record a five-game point streak. He has notched three goals and five assists through his first eight career appearances. Sean Couturier is the only player to post a six-game point streak as a teenager with the Flyers. Martone has a chance to match that record on Tuesday night against Montreal.

Macklin Celebrini Nets Two Goals Against Predators

San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini lit the lamp twice in Monday's 3-2 road win over the Nashville Predators. He bagged a pair of goals, including an empty-netter, in the third period after Igor Chernyshov had given San Jose the lead with a power-play goal. Despite beating the Predators, the playoff door was shut in front of the Sharks on Monday night. This means Celebrini will get only two more opportunities to showcase his talent this season. He is just three points away from breaking Joe Thornton's franchise record for most points in a single season. Celebrini has managed 112 points (44 goals, 68 assists) across 80 games during his sophomore year.

Matt Duchene Registers Three Assists Monday Night

Dallas Stars forward Matt Duchene kicked off the final week of regular-season action with a hat trick of assists in Monday's 6-5 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Two of Duchene's assists helped Mavrick Bourque get his first career hat trick. Jason Robertson also benefited from his creativity. Duchene is heading into the playoffs in hot form. He boasts five assists across his last two contests and has averaged a point per game in his last 13 outings. The 35-year-old sits on 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists) through 56 regular-season games, with one more matchup to go.

Nikita Kucherov Hits 130-Point Mark in Monday's Overtime Win

Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov reached the 130-point mark for the second time in his career with a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings. Kucherov has tormented the Red Wings throughout his time in the NHL, and it was no different in this game. The former MVP assisted Jake Guentzel on Tampa Bay's third goal and struck the game-winner 27 seconds into overtime. With his 44th goal of the season, Kucherov matched his career high from the 2023-24 campaign. He has 86 assists in 75 outings. Unfortunately for Kucherov, it appears he will just miss out on his third consecutive Art Ross Trophy. Edmonton's Connor McDavid is four points ahead of him on the NHL's scoring charts, and both have only one regular-season game left. But he will sleep well knowing he's one of only 10 players in NHL history with multiple 130-point seasons.

Jack Eichel Collects Four Points Against Jets

Vegas Golden Knights center Jack Eichel was an unstoppable force against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night, logging four points in a 6-2 victory. He scored a power-play goal and dished out three assists, including one in a short-handed situation. This was Eichel's seventh four-point game with the Golden Knights, tying him with Mark Stone for the most in franchise history. After going scoreless in John Tortorella's first game on the Vegas bench, Eichel has led the Golden Knights' turnaround with two goals and eight assists in six contests. He is very close to his second consecutive 90-point campaign, needing to produce at least two points in Wednesday's regular-season finale against Seattle. In 73 appearances, Eichel has bagged 27 goals and 61 assists.

Frank Nazar Good to Go Monday

Chicago Blackhawks center Frank Nazar (mouth) is expected to play on Monday against the Buffalo Sabres, The Athletic's Mark Lazerus reports. Nazar took a puck to the face on Saturday against St. Louis, forcing him to leave the game early. But he won't have to sit out any additional time. The 22-year-old has registered 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists) in 64 games during his sophomore season. He is expected to skate with Ryan Donato and Andre Burakovsky in Monday's game. Nazar will also remain part of Chicago's first power-play unit.

Brandon Hagel Misses Monday's Action

Tampa Bay Lightning winger Brandon Hagel (lower body) won't play on Monday against the Detroit Red Wings. After missing five games, Hagel rejoined the lineup on Saturday against Boston, but he apparently still isn't fully healthy. The 27-year-old scored his 36th goal of the campaign in Saturday's 2-1 win. Additionally, he has produced 38 assists in 74 appearances. Gage Goncalves, who has notched assists in back-to-back games, will ride on the top line and the first power-play unit against Detroit, making him a very attractive fantasy target.

Michael Bunting, Radek Faksa Rejoin Stars Lineup Monday

Dallas Stars forward Michael Bunting (lower body) and Radek Faksa (lower body) will return to the lineup on Monday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Dallas has been banged up all season but will get some help on the frontline for the final week of regular-season action. Bunting will be an interesting DFS play on Monday, as he is expected to join Wyatt Johnston and Mikko Rantanen on the first line. He is also set to fill a spot on the second power-play unit. Faksa will center the fourth line and is a valuable addition for the team's penalty kill.

Jared McCann to Miss Kraken's Last Three Games

Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann (lower body) won't be part of the lineup during the team's last three games of the 2025-26 campaign. He will end the season with 40 points (20 goals, 20 assists) in 52 appearances. McCann had tough luck with injuries this year after missing just three games in the last three seasons combined. The 29-year-old will have the final season of a five-year, $25 million contract in 2026-27. On Monday, the Kraken will also remain without Shane Wright (upper body), but he could return during the final week after wearing a regular jersey during Monday's morning skate.

Jonathan Quick to Make Final NHL Appearance Monday

New York Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick will suit up for the final time in the NHL on Monday night against the Florida Panthers. The 2012 Conn Smythe Trophy winner told reporters Monday morning that he is retiring after 19 NHL seasons. Quick will hang up his mask as the winningest American goalie in NHL history. He has a 410-306-90 career record prior to Monday's action, while also holding the shutout record among U.S.-born netminders with 65. Quick, who turned 40 in January, has won the Stanley Cup three times. This season, Quick has gone 6-16-2 with a 3.09 goals-against average, a .893 save percentage, and two shutouts.

Leon Draisaitl Returns to Practice

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl (lower body) rejoined practice on Monday, Derek Van Diest of NHL.com reports. This was his first practice with his teammates since suffering a lower-body injury on March 15 against the Nashville Predators. The German superstar is nearing a return to action, but it's unclear whether he will be available at the start of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. "I'm going to see how I feel by the end of the week, and hopefully it feels great and maybe I'm an option (for Game 1) or maybe it's a couple of games later. We'll see," Draisaitl said. Due to his injury, Draisaitl failed to reach 100 points this season for the first time in five years, finishing with 35 goals and 62 assists in 65 appearances.

Chris Kreider Posts Two Assists in Overtime Loss

Anaheim Ducks left wing Chris Kreider reached 50 points for the season with a two-assist effort in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks. The veteran forward became the sixth Ducks skater to reach at least 50 points in 2025-26, tying a franchise record from Anaheim's Stanley Cup-winning campaign in 2006-07. While Kreider was a feared goal-scorer with the New York Rangers, he has made more of an impact as a playmaker at his new club. He is set to finish a season with more assists than goals for the first time in eight years. Through 74 outings, Kreider has 22 goals and 28 assists.

Marco Rossi Gives Canucks Rare Victory

Vancouver Canucks center Marco Rossi scored the game-winning goal in Sunday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Anaheim Ducks. He also had one assist in the contest as the Canucks recorded only their 24th victory of the season. Both points came on the power play for Rossi, who made his 31st appearance with his new team. Initially, Rossi struggled to find his feet in Vancouver. But he had a red-hot stretch last month, helping him reach respectable numbers. The 24-year-old has recorded eight goals and 21 points with the Canucks. Only a year ago, Rossi was a 60-point scorer with the Minnesota Wild. It's not unrealistic to expect him to get near that mark as a regular top-six contributor during his first full season in Vancouver.

Nico Hischier Records 30th Three-Point Game

New Jersey Devils center Nico Hischier made a big contribution in Sunday's matchup with the Ottawa Senators, posting his 30th career three-point game in a 4-3 overtime win. The Devils captain made an impact in all situations. He scored an even-strength goal in the first period, had a short-handed assist in the third, and scored the game-winning goal on the power play. Hischier has had several close calls in recent campaigns in his attempt to record his second career 70-point season, and it looks like he will fall just short again in 2025-26. With 81 games played, Hischier has totaled 66 points (28 goals, 38 assists).

Adam Fantilli Nets 24th Goal of the Season

Columbus Blue Jackets center Adam Fantilli kept his good post-Olympics form going with a goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. He tied the game at two early in the third period, but the Blue Jackets couldn't secure a much-needed victory. Since the Olympics ended, Fantilli has averaged 0.92 points per game, amassing 11 goals and 12 assists. He is Columbus' second-highest scoring forward this season, with a career-high 59 points (24 goals, 35 assists) in 81 games. Fantilli has taken another step in his development in 2025-26 and will attempt to record his first 60-point campaign in Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Washington Capitals.

Lane Hutson Reaches Historic Record With Two Assists Sunday

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson produced another multi-assist performance in Sunday's 4-1 win over the New York Islanders, setting up two goals. As a result, he matched Larry Robinson's franchise record for most assists by a defenseman in a single season, which has stood since the 1976-77 campaign. Hutson has recorded 66 helpers across 81 outings, adding 12 goals. He will aim to establish a new assists record in Montreal's regular-season finale against Philadelphia on Tuesday night. This season, only Edmonton's Evan Bouchard (91) and Columbus' Zach Werenski (81) have more points than Hutson (78) among defensemen.
