NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday April 3rd
Another week gives us another opportunity to cash out with your DFS lineups. We have an eight-game slate tonight as the regular season is close to an end.
For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.
NBA Quick Links
Point Guard
Dalano Banton (FD: $6,800, DK: $6,900): The Portland Trail Blazers are trying to see if anything sticks. This is the point of the season when teams out of the race are playing younger guys or players who have not gotten any opportunities. Dalano Banton is one of those players on the Trail Blazers that is taking advantage of his chances. In March, Banton averaged splits of 17.9/3.5/5.4. Before that month, Banton was at the end of the bench getting sporadic playing time. His pricing is low and can be a nice value play here.
Tre Mann (FD: $5,400, DK: $5,500): Vasilije Micic has been the point guard for the Charlotte Hornets for the past few months, while Tre Mann is the secondary ball-handler. However, Micic is doubtful to play tonight, which means Mann would step up to the point guard role. The Hornets have been missing their star point guard, LaMelo Ball, for the majority of the season now. Tre Mann is going to be the next man up and is a good value play.
Shooting Guard
Cam Thomas (FD: $7,900 DK: $7,700): Cam Thomas is a walking bucket for the Brooklyn Nets. After a few years in lineup limbo, Thomas is now a focal point of the Nets and their future. In his last 10 games, Thomas has not dipped below 25 fantasy points. Furthermore, he has been averaging almost 27 points per game in that same period. He is going to be throwing up shots no matter the opponent, which is something you should love for DFS lineups.
Gary Trent Jr. (FD: $6,400 DK: $6,300): The Toronto Raptors are in the midst of a 14-game losing streak. They are just waiting for this season to end. They lost Scottie Barnes and have been looking for a scorer since. Gary Trent Jr. has been the number-one scorer since the injury. He is going to get his shots up, but the matchup is a little bit scary as they face the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are in the hunt for the Western Conference one seed.
Small Forward
Deni Avdija (FD: $7,700 DK: $7,800): Avdija is one of the hottest DFS players in the past few weeks. Over his last 10 games, Avdija has had 30+ fantasy points in 9 of them. He is a jack of all trades. His rebounding might be his best DFS attribute, but he can contribute with his scoring and passing. Some players are more expensive than him, but he has been more consistent than them over the past two weeks.
Corey Kispert (FD: $5,600 DK: $5,900): Another Wizards player is making the list. Corey Kispert is starting to get hot towards the end of the season. Kispert is a very good shooter and is putting that on display when given the opportunity. In four of his last five games, Kispert has had 20+ fantasy points.
Power Forward
Anthony Davis (FD: $11,400 DK: $10,500): Despite choosing two Wizards players, I think Anthony Davis dominates them tonight. The Wizards are the worst rebounding team in the entire league. They tend to struggle against any good big man. Anthony Davis should be able to feast on the Wizards. The price tag is steep, but you can expect a 50+ fantasy point game from him tonight.
Naz Reid (FD: $6,900 DK: $6,700): Since Karl-Anthony Towns got injured, Naz Reid has stepped up perfectly. In his last 10 games, Reid has had at least 20+ fantasy points. Reid has become the second scorer for this Minnesota Timberwolves team that is vying for the number one seed in the Western Conference. Reid is a good option if you don't want to go the expensive route for the power-forward spot.
Center
Clint Capela (FD: $7,500, DK: $6,300): One thing is for certain when it comes to Clint Capela, he is going to get his rebounds. He is once again averaging a double-double by catching lobs and snagging rebounds. Capela is a consistent player for DFS lineups. He has not fallen below 23 fantasy points in his last 10 games. His price is never too high and is the perfect guy to plug in if you splurge at other positions.
Deandre Ayton (FD: $7,700, DK: $7,600): Deandre Ayton has hit his stride over the past month. In March, Ayton averaged 23 and 12 on 61% shooting. He has been on a tear after a sluggish season for the majority of it. Ayton tonight plays a Charlotte Hornets team that is also not making the playoffs and doesn't possess a lot of size. I love for Ayton to have a monster game tonight.
