KC Concepcion Moved Everywhere Within WR Room

The Cleveland Browns spent a 2026 first-round pick on wide receiver KC Concepcion, and since Day 1, head coach Todd Monken and the offensive staff have not held back in loading up his plate. "He's handled us moving him around at an elite level," Monken told team reporter Kelsey Russo. "It's not easy to - all right, you're at Z, OK, you're at F, you're at X. We're going to ask you to do all of these things within our offense, and he's been impressive." Concepcion won the Paul Hornung Award in 2025 as the most versatile player in college football, and that versatility was on full display in his first preseason game, in which he caught three passes and scored on a 14-yard touchdown run while also returning punts. Concepcion projects to feature heavily in three-receiver sets along with veteran Jerry Jeudy and fellow rookie Denzel Boston, and the ability to play all three spots should help to keep him on the field regardless of alignment. At RotoBaller's WR46, the 21-year-old is a high-floor target in the middle rounds of drafts who could also offer week-winning spike performances.

KC Concepcion Earning Praise from His Head Coach

Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken praised rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion on Thursday, saying that Concepcion "doesn't blink" and "just wants to play football," per Dan Labbe of clevelanddotcom. The 24th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Concepcion recorded 61 catches for 919 yards and nine touchdowns across 13 games with Texas A&M in 2025. The 21-year-old has reportedly been one of the standout performers so far in Browns training camp. Concepcion's fantasy value is tainted a bit by Cleveland's uncertain quarterback situation. However, the rookie wideout has a legitimate chance to emerge as the WR1 in a Browns wide receiver room that was one of the league's worst in 2025. Entering 2026, Concepcion's redraft profile carries both risk and significant upside for fantasy managers.

KC Concepcion's Confidence has "Skyrocketed"

Cleveland Browns rookie first-round wide receiver KC Concepcion said his confidence "skyrocketed" after the back-to-back big catch and touchdown run on a sweep in the team's preseason opener on Saturday against the Chicago Bears, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. The 21-year-old 24th overall pick from Texas A&M caught three of his four targets for 27 yards on Saturday and took his only carry for 14 yards and a touchdown while playing with the first-team offense. Concepcion is pretty much a lock to be a starting wideout for Cleveland in his first year in the NFL in 2026, and he could even take over as the Browns' WR1 after catching 61 passes for 919 yards and an SEC-high nine touchdowns in 13 games for the Aggies last year. Concepcion caught 25 TD passes in his three years in college (two years at North Carolina State). The only thing that could hold him back in his first year in the NFL is the Browns' less-than-ideal QB situation with Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders battling for the starting job. Concepcion's name should be rising up draft boards this fall as a popular late-round flier with upside. UPDATE: Head coach Todd Monken said on Monday that he'd love to get the ball into Concepcion's hands as much as possible.

KC Concepcion Impresses as Receiver and Rusher in Preseason Opener

Cleveland Browns wide receiver KC Concepcion put together a nice performance during his preseason debut on Saturday. Concepcion got his first taste of NFL action versus the Chicago Bears this weekend. The rookie wideout hauled in three of his four targets for 27 yards. He also carried the ball once for a 14-yard touchdown in the loss to the Bears. The Browns expect big things from Concepcion, whom they used the 24th overall pick on during this year's draft. He's supposed to play a big part in the passing game alongside Jerry Jeudy and fellow rookie wideout Denzel Boston. His performance on Saturday shows that Concepcion could be used in both the receiving and rushing game this upcoming season.

KC Concepcion's Impressive Camp Continues

Cleveland Browns wide receiver KC Concepcion avoided serious injury after coming down hard on his shoulder in a practice earlier in the week, and on Saturday he was all over the field, flashing the versatility and ball skills that he has put on display throughout the spring and summer. With quarterback Deshaun Watson leading the first-team offense, Concepcion came up with a number of big catches throughout team drills, capping off the sixth consecutive day of work for the Browns. A first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Concepcion is part of an impressive group of young playmakers, alongside fellow rookie Denzel Boston and second-year players Harold Fannin Jr. and Quinshon Judkins. While questions remain at quarterback with Watson still battling Shedeur Sanders for the starting job, Cleveland's offense looks to be on the rise under first-time head coach Todd Monken. With a clear path to a primary role in an offense that could surprise, Concepcion is RotoBaller's WR51 and a low-cost player to target in the late rounds of 2026 drafts.

KC Concepcion is Fine After Suffering AC Joint Sprain in his Shoulder

Cleveland Browns rookie first-round wide receiver KC Concepcion (shoulder) said he suffered an AC joint sprain in his shoulder from falling on it in training camp practice earlier this week, but he's fine and made an acrobatic touchdown catch on a pass from quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Thursday, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. The 21-year-old from Texas A&M has been impressive in training camp as he heads into his first year in the NFL, and as things currently stand, he should be a lock to open the 2026 regular season in a top-three role for the Browns alongside fellow rookie Denzel Boston and veteran Jerry Jeudy. And with Jeudy continuing to fall after a disappointing 2025 campaign, it could be Concepcion and Boston leading Cleveland's pass-catching corps as rookies. The Browns' less-than-ideal QB situation will keep Concepcion's fantasy price low, but he's absolutely worth a late-round flier in 12-team leagues with plenty of speed and big-play ability in a Browns offense looking for new contributors. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 49 fantasy WR for 2026.

KC Concepcion Back in Team Drills on Wednesday

The Cleveland Browns aren't in full pads on Wednesday, but rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion (shoulder) is back practicing in team drills, according to Scott Petrak of The Chronicle Telegram. Concepcion took a hard fall on his shoulder during Monday's practice, but he returned to individual drills on Tuesday and is quickly working his way back. The 21-year-old should be back to full health soon. After being taken 24th overall in April's NFL draft from Texas A&M, Concepcion and fellow rookie Denzel Boston will have every opportunity to unseat veteran Jerry Jeudy as the Browns' new No. 1 wideout in 2026. The opportunity alone makes Concepcion worth considering as a late-round flier in upcoming fantasy drafts, although the Browns' less-than-ideal QB competition between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders should have everyone tempering expectations for the 6-foot, 190-pounder. RotoBaller has Concepcion ranked as the No. 48 fantasy WR heading into his first year in the league after he caught 61 passes for 919 yards and an SEC-high nine touchdowns in 13 games for the Aggies in 2025.

KC Concepcion Ready for Practice on Tuesday

Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion (shoulder) was seen in pads before the start of Tuesday's training camp practice, suggesting he's ready to return after suffering what was deemed a minor right-shoulder injury on Monday, according to Dan Labbe of Clevelanddot.com. The 21-year-old 24th overall selection from Texas A&M and fellow wideout Denzel Boston could both push veteran Jerry Jeudy for targets in Cleveland's offense in 2026. Concepcion should be a lock to start in three-receiver sets in his first year in the NFL, but the question is whether the Browns have a capable quarterback who can get the young wideout the ball regularly. The 6-foot, 196-pound burner produced for both the Aggies and at North Carolina State and will be a late-round sleeper worth considering for WR depth in upcoming fantasy football drafts. RotoBaller has Concepcion ranked as the No. 48 fantasy WR as he heads into his first season in the NFL. UPDATE: The Athletic's Zac Jackson reports that Concepcion was limited to individual drills on Tuesday.

KC Concepcion's Shoulder Injury Not Believed to be Serious

Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion (shoulder) is expected to be okay after suffering a shoulder injury in practice on Monday. Concepcion took a hard fall on a short pass over the middle from Deshaun Watson, prompting attention from the Browns' medical staff. While there is no specific timeline for when the 2026 first-round pick will return to practice, it's good to know the injury is not significant. According to multiple reports, Concepcion has had a fantastic camp, operating in the first-team offense in the slot. The rookie receiver is currently ranked WR48 in RotoBaller's rankings and, assuming he's healthy and ready to go for Week 1, should have a chance to be the lead receiver for Cleveland in 2026.

KC Concepcion Stacking Plays for Browns

Cleveland Browns first-round rookie receiver KC Concepcion has made plays throughout the early days of training camp while working as part of a heavy rotation, and Saturday was no exception. With the team working on short-yardage scenarios, Concepcion caught a goal-line touchdown from Shedeur Sanders during 7-on-7 work. Concepcion has largely been used as the top option out of the slot in three-receiver sets, but he has the size and versatility to be moved across the formation. At RotoBaller's WR49, he can often be found behind a deep tier of receivers in the later rounds of 2026 drafts, but should he eventually work himself into something close to a Zay Flowers role in Todd Monken's offense, Concepcion could greatly outperform his draft cost and become a weekly fantasy starter by year's end.
