Quinshon Judkins Returns to Team Drills on Tuesday

Cleveland Browns second-year running back Quinshon Judkins (undisclosed) was back in team drills at training camp on Tuesday, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. Judkins was limited to individual drills on Monday in his first day back at practice following an undisclosed injury that he picked up last week. It remains to be seen if Judkins will be cleared to play in the team's preseason finale this Thursday against the New England Patriots, but even if he's not active, the 22-year-old Ohio State product should be just fine for the Week 1 season opener on Sunday, Sept. 13, against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The biggest thing holding back Judkins' fantasy value going into his second NFL season is the Browns' offense as a whole, which will be led by veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson, at least early on. After he was taken 36th overall in the second round last April, Judkins led the Browns with 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries across 14 games as a rookie, adding 26 catches for 171 yards through the air. With Dylan Sampson stealing valuable pass-game targets, Judkins should be considered a low-end RB2/high-end RB3/flex in his second season.

Quinshon Judkins Returns to Practice

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (undisclosed) returned to practice Monday, according to Daniel Oyefusi. Judkins missed the final two practices of last week and sat out Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo while dealing with what head coach Todd Monken called "a little something nagging." Monken said it was nothing significant and also made clear that the issue was unrelated to the extra contact Judkins took during Cleveland's Aug. 18 practice. His return Monday backs up that assessment, although his exact participation level wasn't immediately clear. Judkins led the Browns with 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries as a rookie, adding 26 catches for 171 yards. With the regular season still a few weeks away, getting him back on the field after a brief absence is a positive development for Cleveland's backfield.

Quinshon Judkins Dealing with Minor Nagging Injury

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (undisclosed) is dealing with a nagging injury that head coach Todd Monken considers "minor." Judkins did not participate on Wednesday or during the team's joint practice with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, but Monken did not sound too concerned about Judkins sitting out. The second-year back has practiced for most of training camp after suffering a gruesome leg injury late in the 2025 season. As a rookie, Judkins totaled 998 scrimmage yards and seven touchdowns on 256 touches, averaging just 3.6 yards per carry, which was among the lowest in the NFL last season. If this "nagging injury" hampers Judkins early in the season, second-year backs Dylan Sampson and Raheim "Rocket" Sanders will take on a larger workload, though it appears Judkins should be fine for Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Quinshon Judkins Misses Second Straight Practice

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins was not practicing Thursday, his second straight absence, according to Daniel Oyefusi. Judkins also sat out Wednesday after working throughout camp up to that point. His absence began one day after a particularly physical Tuesday practice in which he took some extra contact, though Cleveland has not said the two are connected. Judkins led the Browns with 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries as a rookie, adding 26 catches for 171 yards. His season ended in Week 16 with a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula, but he recovered in time for full offseason work and had been participating normally this summer. Two missed practices in a row now make this more than a one-day maintenance note. Until Cleveland provides some context, Judkins' availability remains an open question.

Quinshon Judkins Not Practicing Wednesday

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (undisclosed) was not practicing Wednesday, according to ProFootballTalk. The absence comes one day after a physical Tuesday session in which defensive tackle Adin Huntington knocked Judkins to the ground during team work, drawing the ire of head coach Todd Monken. Jared Verse also got into Judkins on a later rep before Monken ended practice early. Cleveland has not tied Wednesday's absence to anything that happened Tuesday, so that connection shouldn't be assumed. Judkins led the Browns with 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries as a rookie before a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula ended his season in Week 16. He was back to full work during the offseason program and has been active throughout camp this summer. Cleveland entered camp with Judkins and Dylan Sampson leading the backfield, so any extended absence would matter. For now, though, Wednesday is simply a missed practice. UPDATE: The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reports that Judkins is dealing with an undisclosed minor issue.

Quinshon Judkins Primed for Workhorse Role

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins is healthy and getting plenty of work as he heads into his second season. Scott Petrak of BrownsZone.com reports that the plan is for Judkins to be the workhorse in Todd Monken's offense, and that has shown up in camp with carries and catches. Judkins ran 230 times for 827 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games as a rookie, adding 26 receptions for 171 yards. Running backs coach Duce Staley believes he can handle all three downs, so the receiving work is worth watching after a fairly modest rookie total. The other encouraging part is his health. Judkins fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle in Week 16, had surgery in December, and worked his way back during the offseason program. He has not missed a day of camp, and Petrak reports he looked 100 percent when practices began. Dylan Sampson will still get work, but Cleveland clearly wants Judkins at the center of the backfield. He is currently No. 57 overall in RotoBaller's PPR rankings.

Browns Think Quinshon Judkins "Can Play All Three Downs"

Cleveland Browns running backs coach Duce Staley said that RB Quinshon Judkins has "worked his ass off" to come back from his dislocated ankle and fractured fibula in Week 16 of his rookie campaign in 2025, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN. "The sky is the limit ... I think that Q can play all three downs," Staley added. The 22-year-old former second-rounder from Ohio State is an emerging young RB, and although his fantasy ceiling could be limited by Cleveland's offense (especially their QB situation), Judkins is becoming a more attractive RB2 candidate for fantasy managers for what could be lots of volume. In 14 starts in his first NFL season in 2025, Judkins averaged only 3.6 yards per carry to finish with 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries. He added 26 receptions for 171 yards on 36 targets in the passing game. Judkins' fantasy ceiling could be limited with Dylan Sampson serving as the Browns' top pass-catching back, but it's clear Judkins' arrow is pointing up. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 22 RB for 2026.

Quinshon Judkins to be a Full-Go for Start of Training Camp

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (ankle, leg) will be a full-go for the start of training camp, sources told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. It's more positive news for the second-year RB after he took part in some team drills during offseason workouts following his season-ending dislocated right ankle and fractured fibula in Week 16 of the 2025 season. Before the injury, the 22-year-old ran for 827 yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries (3.6 yards per attempt) while catching 26 of 36 targets for 171 yards in his 14 starts after the Browns took him in the second round (36th overall) out of Ohio State. Judkins wasn't exactly all that efficient on a per-touch basis, but the main takeaway is that he should be 100% healthy heading into Week 1 of his sophomore season as the Browns' unquestioned RB1 under new head coach Todd Monken. There are still some question marks, though, most notably whether he can develop as a pass-catcher and the Browns' QB situation, which makes him more of a low-end/midrange RB2 target in fantasy football drafts.

Quinshon Judkins Figures to be Featured in New Offense

The Athletic's Zac Jackson singles out Cleveland Browns second-year running back Quinshon Judkins as a breakout candidate to watch in 2026, even though he suffered a season-ending fractured fibula and dislocated ankle last December. Judkins was ahead of his rehab schedule this spring and "figures to be featured in new head coach Todd Monken's offense." The 22-year-old former second-rounder (36th overall) out of Ohio State missed all of training camp last year due to an assault charge that was eventually dropped. He made his NFL debut in Week 2 and quickly showed why the Browns consider him such a big part of their future. Judkins finished with 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 230 rushing attempts while adding 26 receptions for 171 yards as a pass-catcher in 14 starts as a rookie. He needs to be healthy and improve on passing downs, but he's surely going to see plenty of volume and will have ample opportunities to prove he's an explosive and reliable runner for Monken. Even with the Browns' questionable QB situation, Judkins is a target for fantasy managers in both dynasty/keeper leagues and redraft formats in 2026.

Quinshon Judkins Set for a Big Year 2?

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins quickly became the team's lead back in 2025 after he was selected with the 36th overall pick in the second round out of Ohio State. Judkins led the Browns' rushing attack with 230 carries for 827 yards (3.6 yards per carry) and seven touchdowns in 14 starts while adding 26 receptions (36 targets) for 171 yards as a pass-catcher. "Runs incredibly hard, faster in the open field than you'd think. I think he's going to have a big year," an AFC executive said. Judkins was an honorable mention for ESPN's Jeremy Fowler in his top RB rankings for the 2026 season. The 22-year-old's first year in the NFL was cut short by a season-ending dislocated right ankle and fractured fibula in Week 16, but he took part in offseason workouts and should be good to go for Week 1 this fall. Judkins looked explosive in OTAs, but we'll get a better idea of his progress in training camp when the pads go on. In new head coach Todd Monken's offense, Judkins could have Year 2 breakout potential, and he'll come at the cost of a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 in fantasy drafts. Of course, the major drawback is Cleveland's less-than-ideal QB situation holding the entire offense hostage.
