Jason Sanders News
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders finally got some more opportunities in Week 11 and turned it into double-digit fantasy points for the first time since Week 3. That earlier game came from 10 extra points against the Broncos, so his last double-digit point with actual field goal attempts was in Week 1. He made two of his three attempts and made both extra points against the Raiders because the offense seemed to stall quite a lot. Against the New York Jets in Week 12, the offense has a greater chance at stalling in field goal range which gives Sanders some value this time. He can be considered a lower-level option with some upside since the Jets have kept opponents under 20 points in about half of their games this season.
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders has kicked a total of just nine field goals this season and has made seven of them. In comparison, he's kicked 37 extra points and made 36 of those. His fantasy points are mainly coming from extra points as the Dolphins' offense has been a touchdown machine. This trend shouldn't be much different against the Las Vegas Raiders as the Dolphins should be able to gash the defense on the ground and even pass over top of it at any given chance. Sanders isn't on the fantasy radar right now as there are kickers getting a lot more opportunities on the waiver wire.
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders made his lone field goal attempt from 30 yards out against the New England Patriots in Week 8 and he also made all four extra point attempts. He's now made 34 of his 35 extra points and seven of his nine field goal attempts. Sanders has only attempted more than one field goal in a game twice this year and that was in Weeks 1 and 2. There are better options on the waiver wire that attempt more field goals on a regular basis than Sanders. At this point, he's not a trustworthy fantasy option until he starts seeing more opportunities.
