Scotty Miller News
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller saw extended playing time with Antonio Brown (knee) sidelined and made the most of it. Miller caught two passes for 36 receiving yards and a touchdown in the NFC title game victory. He came up with a huge play at the very end of the first half, hauling in a 39-yard bomb from Tom Brady with just seconds left until halftime. Miller has shown a knack for making big plays when given the playing time, as he has three scores this year of 30 yards or more. His services may not be needed in the Super Bowl if Antonio Brown (knee) is healthy.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller may have a bigger role in the NFC Championship game against the Packers. Miller saw more playing time last week when Antonio Brown (knee) left the field with an injury, hauling in a 29-yard reception. Now, Brown has been ruled out- while Tyler Johnson could be a factor in the passing game, the coaching staff appears to favor Miller a bit more. The 23-year-old has exceeded 70 receiving yards in four games this year, as he and Tom Brady showed nice chemistry on passes downfield. Miller does have some risk, but he is a low-cost option with decent upside against the Packers this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller caught three of six targets for 35 receiving yards in a victory over the Giants. The six targets were nice, but Miller and Brady weren't on the same page on a couple of throws down the field, limiting Miller's numbers. This is the second time that the 23-year-old has disappointed without Chris Godwin (finger) in the lineup. With Antonio Brown set to soak up some targets in Week 9, Godwin around the corner, and Mike Evans still commanding attention, Miller will effectively be the fourth or fifth option in this offense. He can be dropped in most leagues.
