Wil Lutz News
Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz bounced back in the Week 2 loss to the Washington Commanders after missing a field goal and an extra point in a one-point loss in the season opener. In the loss to Washington, Lutz made both of his field goals and all three of his extra-point tries. Through two games, he's tied for 20th among NFL kickers with 13 fantasy points. The 29-year-old benefitted by quarterback Russell Wilson turning back the clock with a 300-yard passing game and three touchdowns last week, but it remains to be seen if that was more of a fluke or a regular occurrence under new head coach Sean Payton this year. Heading on the road to Miami this Sunday to take on the Dolphins, Lutz will be in streaming consideration in deeper fantasy leagues.
Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz had a rough first game in his new digs in the season opener last week, missing a field goal and an extra point in a one-point loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. The Broncos lost again in Week 2 to the Washington Commanders by a score of 35-33, but Lutz was more involved and made both of his field-goal tries and all three of his extra-point opportunities for nine points in traditional fantasy scoring. His longest field goal of the day was from 32 yards out. It was a much better showing, and if Denver's offense can stay aggressive and successful down the field like they did against Washington, Lutz could remain in the streaming picture in fantasy.
Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz did not have the debut for the Broncos that he was looking for in the Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday. In a one-point loss to their division rivals, Lutz made one of his two field-goal attempts and missed one of his two extra points. The New Orleans Saints traded Lutz to the Broncos just before the start of the regular season after he made a career-low 74.2 percent of his 31 field-goal attempts in 2022, and the 29-year-old kicker isn't off to a great start with his new team. Lutz's missed field goal last Sunday was from 55 yards out, but he converted a 24-yard attempt in the fourth quarter. Against a tough Washington Commanders defense in Week 2 this Sunday, Lutz will be a low-end streaming option for fantasy managers, at best.
