Philip Broberg  • D  •  Blues

Philip Broberg Hurt In Practice

St. Louis Blues defenseman Philip Broberg (lower body) was injured in Wednesday's practice, leaving his status up in the air for Thursday's game against Vegas. Broberg has been a welcome addition to the Blues' backline this season, recording 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) and 43 blocks in 35 games. Scott Perunovich, who has notched six points (two goals, four assists) in 24 appearances, will likely replace Broberg in the lineup if he misses time. Justin Faulk is expected to take Broberg's position on the second defensive pairing. A move up in the lineup would boost Faulk's fantasy value, but he has not been a consistent source of production this season for fantasy managers. The 32-year-old has been limited to 17 points (two goals, 15 assists) in 44 games.

Josh Norris  • C  •  Senators

Josh Norris Out Until At Least Next Week

Ottawa Senators center Josh Norris (upper body) will miss the rest of the week. He was hurt on Tuesday against the Rangers, and Senators head coach Travis Green has ruled Norris out for the weekend. Ottawa faces Toronto on Saturday and Utah on Sunday. Overall, Norris will miss three games as the Senators also take the ice on Thursday night against Boston. David Perron (back) is expected to replace Norris in the lineup. Perron has gone scoreless in nine appearances this season and should be ignored by fantasy managers. However, Shane Pinto could have additional fantasy value if he's promoted to the top six to fill in for Norris.

Valeri Nichushkin Suffers Injury Setback

Colorado Avalanche winger Valeri Nichushkin (lower body) has suffered a setback in his recovery from injury and is considered week-to-week. Nichushkin, who has been out since Dec. 31, returned to full practice on Sunday. However, he left the session early, and it seems that it will take more time before he is back in game shape. Colorado will play an 11th consecutive game without Nichushkin on Wednesday against Winnipeg. Ross Colton has landed on the top line during Nichushkin's absence and deserves fantasy attention as he skates alongside two of the league's top six scorers, Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen.

Max Pacioretty  • LW  •  Maple Leafs

Max Pacioretty Lands On Injured Reserve

Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Max Pacioretty (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday. The move is retroactive to Jan. 18, meaning Pacioretty will not be eligible to return to the lineup until next week. He will sit out a second consecutive game on Wednesday against Columbus. Toronto also remains without John Tavares (lower body), giving Pontus Holmberg and Bobby McMann a chance to work on the second line. Both players have additional fantasy value skating with Toronto's top goal-scorer, William Nylander. McMann is the better fantasy target of the two, and he has gained momentum lately by recording four points (one goal, three assists) across the past three games.

Adam Lowry  • C  •  Jets

Adam Lowry Out Week-To-Week

Winnipeg Jets center Adam Lowry (lower body) is considered week-to-week. Jets head coach Scott Arniel announced the news on Wednesday after Lowry was injured in Monday's game against Utah. The 31-year-old will miss his first game of the season on Wednesday against Colorado. Lowry has been a valuable piece at both ends of the ice for Winnipeg, posting 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 48 games with 88 hits. The team has placed Lowry on Injured Reserve, activating Mason Appleton (lower body) in the process. Appleton will skate on the fourth line on Wednesday and does not have fantasy value. Alex Iafallo will get a look on the first line as a result of the Jets' lineup tweaks.

Ondrej Palat  • LW  •  Devils

Ondrej Palat Out Wednesday

New Jersey Devils left wing Ondrej Palat (illness) will not play in Wednesday's matchup against Boston. The Czech veteran is feeling under the weather and will come out of the lineup for the second time this season. With Palat out, Kurtis MacDermid will enter the lineup, while Paul Cotter will move to the first line. Cotter impressed with his play early in the campaign but has enjoyed very little offensive success over the last couple of months. The 25-year-old has tallied 10 goals and 16 points in 49 appearances this season.

Rasmus Dahlin  • D  •  Sabres

Rasmus Dahlin Tallies Two Assists On Tuesday

Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin tallied two helpers during their victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday evening. Dahlin would tally both of his helpers in the final frame. He added the secondary assist on Jiri Kulich's game-tying goal and the primary assist on JJ Peterka's game-winner. The 24-year-old defenseman has continued to log top minutes for the Sabres in all aspects of the game. Over his previous 13 games, he has tallied 15 points (all assists), with six of them coming on the power-play. During this stretch, he has also logged 17 blocks and 17 hits. Dahlin remains a must-start defenseman in all formats, given the ability to contribute offensively and add blocks and hits. He will look to stay hot on Thursday against the Calgary Flames.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi  • C  •  Hurricanes

Jesperi Kotkaniemi Scores Twice On Tuesday

Carolina Hurricanes center Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored twice in their 2-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday evening. Kotkaniemi would open the scoring in the second frame with a snap shot. Later in the third, Kotkaniemi would score the game-winner on a deflection. He logged three total shots on goal and one hit during this contest. The 24-year-old has now tallied four points (three goals, one helper) over his previous four games. Prior to this stretch, he was riding a six-game scoreless drought. While Kotkaniemi typically plays on the second line, he has struggled to produce consistently throughout the season. Through 48 contests, he has scored just 22 points. He remains a high-risk play in DFS contests and should only be started in deeper formats.

Jonathan Marchessault  • RW  •  Predators

Jonathan Marchessault Leads The Way On Tuesday

Nashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault tallied four points during their victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday evening. Marchessault would tack on his first point with the secondary assist on Justin Barron's third goal of the season in the second frame. In the third, Marchessault scored in the opening minute and tacked on two more helpers, one of them coming on the power-play. This stellar showing also extended his current point streak to nine games. During this stretch, he has tallied 12 points (two goals, ten helpers), with five of them coming on the power-play. The 34-year-old has begun to turn the corner on a slow start as he has tallied 25 points over his previous 18 contests. He will look to extend this scoring streak to ten games on Thursday evening in San Jose.

Samuel Ersson Extends Winning Streak On Tuesday

Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson extended his winning streak to five games on Tuesday evening with an overtime victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Ersson stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced. His lone blemish came in the third period when Ben Chiarot scored on a wrist shot. However, he was able to shut the door for the remainder of the contest, which set up defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen to score the game-winner in overtime. During this five-game winning streak, Ersson has held a .903% SV and a 1.58 GAA. He has allowed one goal or less in three of these games. Fantasy managers should expect Ersson to continue to see the majority of starts in the Philadelphia crease going forward. He will look to extend this streak on Thursday against the New York Rangers.

Lane Hutson Extends Point Streak To Nine Games

Montreal Canadiens rookie defenseman Lane Hutson extended his point streak to nine games on Tuesday evening with an assist. Hutson tallied the secondary assist on Juraj Slafkovsky's power-play goal. Hutson also logged three hits and two blocks in this contest. During this nine-game stretch, Hutson has tallied 13 points (one goal, 12 helpers). He has tallied at least one assist in each of these nine games. Overall, the 20-year-old defenseman has been very productive on the offensive side of the game, as he has tallied 36 points across 47 games this season. He has also logged 67 total blocked shots and 53 shots on goal. He remains a high-upside play in DFS and a must-start defenseman in all standard formats.

Igor Shesterkin Shuts The Door On Senators On Tuesday

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin stopped all 20 shots he faced en route to defeating the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday evening. The Rangers dominated the shot total, but Shesterkin was able to set up when called on. Alexis Lafreniere would break the stalemate late in the opening frame and serve as the game-winner. This was Shesterkin's third-straight victory and second-straight shutout. Over this three-game span, Shesterkin has posted a stellar .962% SV and a 0.97 GAA. Over his past six, Shesterkin has held a 5-0-1 record with a 1.43 GAA and a .943% SV. He remains a must-start option as he and the Rangers are beginning to turn the corner following a rough two-month stretch. He will look to stay hot on Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Brett Howden Battling An Illness

Vegas Golden Knights forward Brett Howden (illness) may not travel with the team for an upcoming two-game road trip. The Golden Knights will visit St. Louis and Dallas on Thursday and Friday. An illness could take Howden out of the lineup for the first time this season. It's been a big year for Howden, who is tied for second on the team with 16 goals and has notched 22 points in 47 games. He needs just two more points to set a new career high. If Howden can't play in the next couple of games, we might see Tanner Pearson take on a larger role.

Cole Schwindt Out Week-To-Week

Vegas Golden Knights right wing Cole Schwindt (lower body) is week-to-week. The 23-year-old did not play on Monday against St. Louis and is set for a multi-game absence due to a lower-body injury. Working in a fourth-line role, Schwindt's offensive contributions have been limited to seven assists in 38 games, but he has averaged close to one hit per game. Alexander Holtz filled in for Schwindt on Monday and will likely remain in the lineup when Vegas returns to the ice on Thursday for a rematch with the Blues. Holtz has recorded similar numbers to Schwindt in 2024-25, notching 10 points (three goals, seven assists) with 34 hits in 45 appearances.

Trevor Zegras Set To Rejoin Ducks Lineup Tuesday

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras (knee) is set to return to the lineup for Tuesday's tilt against Florida. He has missed 22 games following meniscus surgery on his right knee. Zegras has not been impactful offensively for most of the campaign, but he began to turn a corner before getting hurt. The 23-year-old has collected 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 24 games, notching six of his points during a four-game scoring streak in late November. Zegras is expected to link up with Leo Carlsson and Alex Killorn on the second line on Tuesday.

Isac Lundestrom Day-To-Day With A Lower-Body Injury

Anaheim Ducks center Isac Lundestrom (lower body) is considered day-to-day. The Swedish forward was injured against Florida on Saturday and is expected to miss Tuesday's rematch between the teams. Lundestrom has been limited to four goals and seven points in 44 games this season, so Anaheim will not lose much offensively with him out. Brett Leason, who has picked up 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 37 games, is projected to replace Lundestrom on the fourth line Tuesday night.

Brock McGinn  • LW  •  Ducks

Brock McGinn Out 7-9 Months Following Knee Surgery

Anaheim Ducks left wing Brock McGinn (knee) will miss 7-9 months after undergoing surgery. McGinn hasn't played since Dec. 23, and the team announced on Tuesday that the veteran forward had successful ACL reconstruction surgery last week. The 2024-25 campaign ends with eight points (four goals, four assists) in 26 games for McGinn, who is a pending unrestricted free agent. He is coming off a four-year, $11 million deal. Considering the expected timeline for his recovery, McGinn may not be ready for the start of next season.

Jason Zucker Questionable For Tuesday

Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Zucker (illness) is questionable to play against Vancouver on Tuesday. He is feeling under the weather and might sit out his first game of the season. Zucker's play has been one of only a few bright spots this season for Buffalo. The veteran has tallied 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) in 46 games, making him the second-highest scorer on the team. Jack Quinn or Zach Benson might get a look in the top six on Tuesday if Zucker can't play, while the team would also need to switch things up on the first power-play unit.

Roope Hintz Returns To Action Tuesday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) will return to the lineup on Tuesday against Carolina. Dallas has been without its first-line center for three games. Wyatt Johnstone deputized for Hintz in the role. He will shift to the right wing on Tuesday, with Evgenii Dadonov dropping to the second line. Hintz is having a down year with the Stars this season but leads the team with 19 goals. He has amassed 27 points in total across 42 outings. However, the Finnish forward has upped his scoring pace in recent weeks, picking up six points (four goals, two assists) over his last eight appearances.

Igor Shesterkin Looks To Stay Hot On Tuesday

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin will face the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, looking to maintain his recent hot form. After shaking off an upper-body injury, Shesterkin has gone 4-0-1 with one shutout. He has allowed 1.73 goals during this stretch while registering a .934 save percentage. The Rangers No. 1 has improved his record to 15-15-2 and is sporting a 2.87 goals-against average for the campaign, along with a .910 save percentage and two shutouts. Fantasy managers will be pleased with Shesterkin's recent improvement, but he will face a strong team with a hot goalie on Tuesday. Leevi Merilainen, who has also gone 4-0-1 in his past five appearances, is projected to start for the Senators.
