Alexis Lafreniere Extends Point Streak With Game-Winning Goal
New York Rangers winger Alexis Lafreniere took his point streak to four games with the game-winning goal in Sunday's 2-0 victory at Seattle. He opened the scoring at the 17:30 mark in the second period. Zac Jones added a second goal for the Rangers early in the third. Lafreniere now has two separate point streaks of at least four games this season, notching 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 16 games overall. He recorded two such streaks during the entire 2023-24 campaign. The 23-year-old has taken another step forward in his game and looks primed to see a lot more success as the partner of Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck on the second line.

Jonathan Quick Keeps Kraken Quiet
New York Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots to collect his second consecutive shutout in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Seattle. The veteran was in action for the fourth time this season and maintained a perfect record. Quick is now the fourth goaltender in league history to win four consecutive starts to begin a season at age 38 or older. With Igor Shesterkin firmly positioning himself as the No. 1 at the club, Quick doesn't get a lot of action. But he has been very reliable for the Rangers, allowing only 0.91 goals this season with a spectacular .970 save percentage.

Martin Necas Keeps Scoring Streak Going With Four-Point Effort
Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas stretched his point streak to 13 games with a big four-point effort in Sunday's 4-1 win against St. Louis. He tallied two goals and two assists, picking up one power-play point. This was already the second four-point game of the season for Necas, who has amassed 10 goals and 17 assists during his scoring streak. He has recorded 11 goals and 19 assists in 17 games overall this season, becoming the fastest player in franchise history to register 30 points in a season. It's been an incredible run from Necas, and it might last a while, as Carolina's hot offense will be pitted against some struggling defenses this week.

Pyotr Kochetkov Makes Winning Return
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov returned from injury with a 4-1 victory over St. Louis on Sunday. He sat out Saturday's 4-0 triumph over Ottawa with an undisclosed ailment. Spencer Martin had a great outing with a 24-save shutout. Kochetkov produced 29 saves on Sunday, giving up an early goal to Jake Neighbours before the Hurricanes ran over the Blues. Kochetkov, who is seeing a lot of action due to Frederik Andersen's (lower body) absence, improved to 9-2-0 on Sunday. He owns a 2.42 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage. Only Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck (12) has collected more wins among goalies in 2024-25.

Steven Stamkos Hits Pair Of Power-Play Goals
Nashville Predators forward Steven Stamkos netted two power-play goals in a 5-3 road victory over Vancouver on Sunday. His second marker was the game-winner in the contest. With the two strikes, Stamkos took over the 11th spot on the all-time power-play goals list. He now has 219 of them on his resume. Five of Stamkos' six goals this season have come with the man advantage. His move to Music City hasn't worked out quite as well as many expected, and Stamkos was averaging even less than 0.5 points per game ahead of Sunday's matchup. He's now on 10 points (six goals, four assists) through 19 outings. You would expect to see Stamkos pick up his scoring pace at some point, but it's impossible to predict when that might happen.

Alex Ovechkin Bags 31st Career Hat Trick
Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin showed off some of his best form in Sunday's 5-2 victory over Vegas, recording his 31st career hat trick. In typical fashion, Ovechkin started the damage with a power-play goal. He needed only five shots to get the three goals. This was another big step towards Wayne Gretzky's all-time goals record. Ovechkin, who has netted eight goals already this month, needs to be on target 29 more times to take over the record. Fittingly, Ovechkin now also sits among the league's top goal-scorers this season, sharing the No. 1 spot with Florida's Sam Reinhart and Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl. He has lit the lamp 13 times, adding 10 assists in 17 games.

Michael Rasmussen Might Be An Option Monday
Detroit Red Wings center Michael Rasmussen (upper body) might make a quick return to the lineup. He missed his first game of the season on Saturday versus Los Angeles, but Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde hopes to have him available again on Monday against San Jose. The same applies to defenseman Simon Edvinsson (lower body). Rasmussen leads the Red Wings forwards with 30 hits and has logged four points (two goals, two assists) across 16 games. Tyler Motte took his place in the lineup on Saturday. He will likely head back to the press box if Rasmussen is ready to return on Monday.

Mason McTavish Lands On Injured Reserve
Anaheim Ducks center Mason McTavish (upper body) has been placed on Injured Reserve. The 21-year-old has been out for three games and doesn't appear to be ready to return in the upcoming games. Despite missing time, McTavish remains Anaheim's third-highest scorer this season, with eight points (two goals, six assists) amassed in 13 outings. Isac Lundestrom has seen an uptick in minutes during McTavish's absence, but he's more of a defensive-minded center and doesn't provide anything for fantasy managers. Lundestrom is on three points (two goals, one assist) with 14 games played this campaign.

Andrew Peeke Returns To Practice Sunday
Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Peeke (upper body) was back in practice on Sunday and appears close to returning to the lineup. Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery labeled him as doubtful for Monday's game against Columbus. Peeke has missed five games with an upper-body injury. He has recorded two assists, seven shots, 21 blocks, and 18 hits across 13 appearances this season. The 26-year-old is not a factor in fantasy hockey but would provide a boost to a Bruins backline that has lost Hampus Lindholm (lower body) for several weeks. Peeke's return will likely push Parker Wotherspoon out of the lineup.

Alexandar Georgiev Added To Injured Reserve
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Alexandar Georgiev (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve Sunday. He was absent for Friday's clash against Washington due to an upper-body injury, and it's unclear when Georgiev will be ready to return. After landing on Injured Reserve, he will definitely miss Monday's matchup against Philadelphia. Georgiev has won each of his last three starts, improving to 4-5-0 for the year. His inconsistent form has allowed Justus Annunen to make regular starts, but he had a poor outing on Friday, with three goals allowed on eight shots. Trent Miner made his NHL debut in Annunen's relief, turning aside 12 of 13 shots.

Samuel Ersson Placed On Injured Reserve
Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson (lower body) has been placed on Injured Reserve. The move is retroactive to Nov. 11 and will allow Philadelphia to add some defensive depth from the AHL after suffering a series of injuries. Ersson has been unavailable for two games and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks of action. He has re-aggravated a previous lower-body injury. Ivan Fedotov has taken over the crease, recording back-to-back wins. The Russian netminder had a really difficult start to the campaign but is now on a three-game winning streak, becoming a viable fantasy option until Ersson's return.

Tommy Novak Returns For Predators Sunday
Nashville Predators center Tommy Novak (upper body) will rejoin the lineup on Sunday versus Vancouver. He has recovered from an upper-body injury, which kept Novak sidelined for six games. The 27-year-old has not had a lot of offensive success in 2024-25, posting three goals and four points. Skating mostly in the bottom six, Novak has averaged 13:20 of ice time. Michael McCarron has been filling in for Novak during the last couple of weeks and might have to come out of the lineup on Sunday.

Ryan Reaves Suspended For Five Games
Toronto Maple Leafs right wing Ryan Reaves has been suspended for five games for an illegal check to the head of Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse. Reaves delivered a big hit with his shoulder to Nurse's head in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win, which forced Nurse to exit the game with an upper-body injury. Reaves was ejected from the game following the incident. The veteran enforcer received his fourth career suspension. He will be eligible to return to the lineup on Dec. 4 versus Nashville. Reaves added 15 penalty minutes to his tally on Saturday and now has 23 penalty minutes for the season through 16 games. He has also recorded 44 hits.

Seth Jones Added To Injured Reserve
Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones (foot) has been placed on Injured Reserve. He logged over 26 minutes of action against Seattle on Wednesday but also injured his right foot in the contest. Jones will be unavailable for at least three games, starting with Saturday's matchup against Vancouver. Jones' absence leaves a huge gap in the Chicago defense. He's the team's third-highest scorer with 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 17 games and has racked up 34 blocks with 22 hits. The Blackhawks have recalled Louis Crevier from the minors, while Nolan Allan is another option to enter the lineup on Saturday.

Joel Eriksson Ek Ruled Out For Saturday
Minnesota Wild center Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) will miss Saturday's contest against Dallas. He suffered a lower-body injury on Thursday versus Montreal. Minnesota also lost Mats Zuccarello (lower body) against the Canadiens, resulting in a big line shake-up for Saturday's game. Frederick Gaudreau will skate in Eriksson Ek's usual role as the second-line center, Matt Boldy and Marcus Johansson will join the first line, and Marco Rossi will be dropping down to the third. Liam Ohgren and Michael Milne will be the new faces in the lineup, with the latter making his NHL debut.

Alex Turcotte Ready For Action Saturday
Los Angeles Kings center Alex Turcotte (upper body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and will return to action against Detroit on Saturday. An upper-body injury has kept Turcotte sidelined for five games. He has notched five points (one goal, four assists) in 13 games this season, averaging 11:51 of ice time. We should see Turcotte play a bigger role on Saturday, as he will be starting the game on the first line with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe. Kopitar and Kempe are L.A.'s two top scorers, and skating alongside them will enhance Turcotte's fantasy value.

Sean Couturier Available On Saturday
Philadelphia Flyers center Sean Couturier (lower body) will re-enter the lineup on Saturday against Buffalo. He missed Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to Ottawa due to a lower-body injury, and the team initially considered him a game-time decision for Saturday. Couturier will take on his normal duties as the first-line center, which pushes Ryan Poehling back to the fourth line. Meanwhile, Morgan Frost will get the night off as a healthy scratch. Couturier is a bad fantasy option in current form, as he's landed on the score sheet just three times in 16 appearances this season.

Spencer Martin Starts For Hurricanes Saturday
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Spencer Martin will man the crease in Saturday's matchup against Ottawa. The Hurricanes are forced to turn to their third glove due to injuries to Frederik Andersen (lower body) and Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed). With recent reports suggesting that Andersen might need surgery, we could see Martin a lot more often going forward. The 29-year-old has made one start and one relief performance this season, registering a 5.20 goals-against average and a .805 save percentage. It's been a struggle for Martin, but he plays behind a very strong team. The bookmakers consider Carolina a -167 favorite on Saturday, meaning Martin is expected to collect his first victory of the campaign.

David Perron Back For Senators On Saturday
Ottawa Senators winger David Perron (personal) will rejoin the lineup on Saturday against Carolina. He's missed nearly a month of action due to a personal issue, last playing on Oct. 19. Perron went scoreless in his first five appearances of the season, averaging 13:26 of ice time. The 36-year-old has scored over 300 career goals and nearly 770 points, but Perron no longer carries much fantasy value. He will likely be limited to a bottom-six role on the team.

Kris Letang Remains Out On Saturday
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang (illness) will remain sidelined for Saturday's game against San Jose. He exited the lineup due to an illness on Friday versus Columbus and isn't ready to return just yet. Jack St. Ivany filled in for Letang on Saturday. He recorded four blocks and two hits with one shot in 18:40 of ice time. There's going to be another change at the back on Saturday, with Owen Pickering entering the lineup for his NHL debut. He was prolific during his junior career but hasn't fully blossomed on the pro level. In 12 AHL appearances this season, Pickering has contributed one goal.
