D'Andre Swift Racks Up 81 Scrimmage Yards In Thursday's Loss To Seattle

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift was significantly involved in both the run and pass game in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The former Philadelphia Eagle rusher touched the ball 16 times on Thursday, turning 12 carries to 53 rushing yards while catching four passes for 28 receiving yards in Thursday's defeat. Week 17 continued Swift's streak of double-digit touches, as he has been trusted to handle the ball frequently in every game this season. The former Georgia Bulldog will likely continue to dominate backfield touches next week as the Bears will end their season on the road in Week 18 against the Green Bay Packers.

D'Andre Swift Looks To Bounce Back After Poor Showing

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift has not been a dependable fantasy option lately, struggling to rack up points as he deals with reduced volume, efficiency, and scoring opportunities. The veteran running back mustered just 22 rushing yards on nine carries against the Detroit Lions last week, and he hasn't finished with double-digit fantasy points in PPR leagues since Week 11. In fact, over his last five games, Swift ranks 30th among running backs in total points and 40th in average points per contest. These numbers suggest that he should be benched in most leagues, but the reality is that he checks in closer to the RB3/FLEX range. When Swift gets the perfect storm of high volume, pass-catching usage, and scoring opportunities, he can be one of the best running backs in fantasy football. However, that trifecta has been hard to come by in Chicago's offense, leading to some frustration for his fantasy managers. He'll have a chance to get back on track this Thursday night against the Seahawks, who have allowed the eighth-most rushing yards, 10th-most receiving yards, and 16th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2024. He's a solid RB3/FLEX option as the fantasy playoffs continue in most leagues.

D'Andre Swift Racks Up 89 Yards In Loss To Vikings

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift amassed 79 yards on 19 carries in his team's 30-12 loss against the Minnesota Vikings. He added ten more through the air on his lone target. Swift bounced back in this one after a poor string of games on the ground, during which he averaged 35.7 yards per game and 2.82 YPC. Still, it wasn't enough to get him to double-digit fantasy points -- a feat he's failed to accomplish since Week 11. In his and his team's defense, they've been through quite the gauntlet of defenses over the last four weeks (MIN [twice], DET, SF). However, there is no denying that the Bears' offense lacks execution. The 25-year-old will get a rematch with Chicago's division-rival Detroit Lions in Week 16 and could be a candidate for a decent outing with the Lions' mounting injuries on the defensive side of the ball.

D'Andre Swift Officially Active On Monday Night

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) is officially active for the Monday night game against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings in Week 15 after he was listed as questionable coming into the contest. Swift missed practice on Thursday and Friday before returning to a limited session on Saturday. Roschon Johnson (concussion) is missing another game, so the 25-year-old Swift should handle lead-back duties for the Bears with Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans picking up the scraps left behind. Any fantasy managers that were brave enough to risk keeping Swift in their starting lineups will be starting him this evening. They'll be hoping for a much better performance than the last time he faced Minnesota on Nov. 24, when he had 13 carries for only 30 yards while catching three passes for 35 yards in an overtime loss. Swift will be an RB3/flex that could struggle if the Bears abandon the run.

D'Andre Swift Questionable For Monday Night

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday's divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Swift was unable to practice during the first two practice sessions of the week but was upgraded to a limited participant on Saturday, suggesting there is some positivity surrounding his status. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status throughout the weekend, as he may be a game-time decision leading up to Monday's game. The 25-year-old has dealt with lingering injuries all season but has yet to officially miss time with them. Over his past three contests, Swift has averaged 15.0 total touches per game but has been unable to produce much, totaling just 8.0 PPR points per game. Given his injury concern and tough matchup facing the league's third-toughest rushing defense, fantasy managers should view him as a risky flex option if he can suit up. If not, Travis Homer would be given RB1 duties as Roschon Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out.

D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson Miss Another Practice

Chicago Bears running backs D'Andre Swift (groin) and Roschon Johnson (concussion) both missed their second straight practice of the week on Friday. With just one more day of practice scheduled on Saturday, it's not looking good for either Swift or Johnson to be active on Monday night against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. Travis Homer (head), the No. 3 back on the roster, is also on the injury report this week, but he's been practicing in full and should be ready for starting duties if both Swift and Johnson are unable to play. Johnson is less likely to play than Swift, but the 25-year-old Swift appears to be in real danger of sitting out. If both RBs are inactive, the Bears will most likely elevate Darrynton Evans from the practice squad to split the backfield with Homer. It would be a situation to avoid for most fantasy managers in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson Not Practicing On Thursday

Chicago Bears running backs D'Andre Swift (groin) and Roschon Johnson (concussion) were listed as non-participants for the team's first practice in Week 15 on Thursday. The Bears will face off against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings on Monday night this week, which means they won't release their final injury report until Saturday. Swift was listed as questionable for last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers but ended up playing and disappointing his fantasy managers with 15 touches for 40 scrimmage yards in a blowout defeat. Meanwhile, Johnson missed his second straight game. The 25-year-old Swift is now up in the air to play again this week, although he has two more days to return to practice. In Chicago's lackluster offense, Swift has struggled recently and has scored just once in his last six games. If both Swift and Johnson are out on Monday, Travis Homer would be Chicago's lead back.

D'Andre Swift Struggles In Week 14 Loss To 49ers

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift endured a tough outing in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Facing one of the league's most formidable defenses, Swift had little room to work, rushing 14 times for just 38 yards one of his worst performances of the season. The Bears' running game as a whole was stifled, and Swift couldn't find his rhythm in the passing game either, recording just one catch for a mere 2 yards. With backup Roschon Johnson (concussion) sidelined, many expected Swift to see an increased workload, but that wasn't the case. Despite the tough matchup, Swift's lack of production was a disappointing result for fantasy managers. As the Bears aim to rebound, they will look for better results next Monday night in a crucial rematch against the Minnesota Vikings.

D'Andre Swift Suiting Up In Week 14

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (quadricep) is officially active for Sunday's Week 14 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Swift had been listed as questionable but was trending toward playing. He'll suit up as the Bears' primary option out of the backfield and could even see a few extra opportunities with backup running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) sidelined. Swift ranks as the overall RB19 in PPR leagues this season but has been held to single-digit fantasy points in each of the last two weeks. He'll look to bounce back as a high-end RB2 this week versus the 49ers' suspect run defense.

D'Andre Swift Expected To Face The 49ers

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (quadriceps) is expected to play on Sunday versus the 49ers. The 25-year-old has struggled in the last few games, most recently amassing only 39 yards off 11 carries and adding two catches for 35 yards in the Thanksgiving loss to the Detroit Lions. He missed a few practices throughout the week because of a quad injury. Fortunately, he logged a limited session on Friday, giving him a chance to get on the field. With the Niners defense having a tough time stopping the run, Swift has an excellent chance to get on track, giving him plenty of upside in Week 14. However, his presence should mean fewer touches for Travis Homer, who would have taken over as the top option out of the backfield.
