Roy Robertson-Harris News
The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing free-agent safety Rudy Ford to a two-year, $4.2 million deal on Monday, according to a source. The Jaguars also agreed to a three-year, $24.4 million deal with former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris. Robertson-Harris is projected as a defensive end in a 3-4 scheme, and the Jaguars could be headed towards that specific scheme under new defensive coordinator Joe Cullen. Robertson-Harris had 7.5 sacks, 70 tackles and 30 QB hits in 52 career games in Chicago. Ford spent last year with the Philadelphia Eagles after spending his first three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He represents a high-quality special teams player and depth at safety.
Chicago Bears impending free-agent defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris (shoulder) has been given the green light by orthopedic surgeon Frank Cordasco to work out with teams starting on April 1 after he had surgery on his shoulder in November. Robertson-Harris will be ready for training camp in July. The 27-year-old was only able to play in eight games (six starts) for the Bears in 2020 because of his injury. When he was on the field, he recorded only 10 tackles (one for loss) and five quarterback hits. In his four seasons in Chicago, Robertson-Harris has 75 combined tackles (nine for loss), 30 QB hits, six passes defensed, one fumble recovery and 7.5 sacks.
Chicago Bears defensive tackle/end Roy Robertson-Harris (shoulder) is expected to miss the remainder of the 2020 campaign after undergoing shoulder surgery later in the week. Having started six of the eight games that he has appeared in for Chicago this season, Robertson-Harris combined for 10 tackles and five quarterback hits. His absence isn't reason for season-long fantasy managers to move on from the Bears Defense, but his loss is sure to be felt particularly in the run game. Mario Edwards Jr., who recorded his second sack of the season Sunday, is likely to see increased defensive snaps moving forward as Chicago reconfigures it's defensive line. The Bears will be tasked with slowing Dalvin Cook during Week 10, making the unit a run-of-the-mill option in most formats.
