Robbie Chosen News
The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Robbie Chosen to their practice squad on Monday after releasing him last week. Chosen got the boot off the roster when the Dolphins cut down to 53 players last Tuesday, but he's now back with the organization with the 2023 regular season starting this Thursday. The 30-year-old had a career year with the Carolina Panthers in 2020, putting up 95 catches on 136 targets for 1,096 yards and three touchdowns in 16 starts, but he's gone drastically downhill since then. In 16 games (seven starts) for the Panthers and Arizona Cardinals in 2022, he had 20 receptions for 282 yards and one touchdown and remains well off the fantasy radar this season.
The Miami Dolphins have released veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen. Anderson has spent time with the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, and Arizona Cardinals since entering the league in 2016 as an undrafted free agent, but he couldn't crack Miami's 53-man roster. The 30-year-old wideout was thought to be competing for a WR3 or WR4 role during the preseason, which kept him on the fantasy radar in ultra-deep leagues. After the Dolphins cut ties with him, he can be safely ignored in preseason drafts all of sizes.
Miami Dolphins wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are going to continue to dominate the target share as the top-two receivers in Miami. Meanwhile, Robbie Chosen has made a compelling case for the No. 3 job, dating back to the spring. While Chosen is in the mix, free-agent acquisition Braxton Berrios is someone who has impressed cornerback Xavien Howard in practices. "He can do it all," said Howard of Berrios. "I didn't like playing against him when he was with the Jets. He's a matchup problem." The 30-year-old Chosen has more experience and a 1,000-yard season as recently as 2020, but Berrios should also be involved. Neither Chosen nor Berrios will be very consistent on a week-to-week basis for fantasy managers as long as Hill and Waddle remain healthy.

Veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen struggled mightily last season with the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals, catching just 15 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown in 12 games. He wasn't a major contributor to either team and likely won't be in 2023 after being released by the Miami Dolphins after the preseason. He had a shot to be a sneaky value as a handcuff wide receiver in the deepest of leagues, but now he's completely off the fantasy radar. Even if he signs with a new team, he...
